She was predeceased by: her parents, Deacon Paul and Mary Marshall Bradley; her husband Ed Willis Smith Jr.; her grandson Dedrick Bradley; her son-in-law James Byrd Jr.; and her brother James.
She is survived by: her sisters, Rosa Lee Grant, Hannie Mae Bradley Reid, Mary Makin, Diane B. Tanks and Mattie B. Burroughs; her daughter Pamela Bradley Byrd; her sister Minister Arzaia Bradley Thomas; her grandchildren, Marsha Peoples and ShaCoya Johnson; and her sisters-in-law, Constance Bradley of Winston-Salem, NC, Mary C. Bradley of Upper Marlboro, MD and Cornelia Bradley of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
