She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Hesse and Louise Boucher Hesse; her son James Fitzgibbons, Jr.; and her grandson Justin McLamb. She is survived by: her husband James Martin Fitzgibbons; her children, Thomas Fitzgibbons (Ann), Jeff Fitzgibbons (Deborah) of Reidsville, Louise McLamb of Wallburg, Karen Britt (James) and Charlotte Britt (Robert) of Mt. Pleasant, NC; her brother Louis Hesse of Burgaw, NC; her grandchildren, Chris McLamb, Rebekah Jordan, Sterling Britt and Cameron Britt; and her great grandchildren, Zaden McLamb, Madison McLamb and Rose McLamb.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, those attending the services should practice social distancing and wear a face cover.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Alzheimer's Association.
