Lois Z Collins Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lois Z Collins of Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on January 21, 2021 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred F. Zimmerman and Mary E. Clodfelter Zimmerman; her husband Walter A. Collins Jr.; and her siblings, Aldine F. Zimmerman, Everette F. "Bud" Zimmerman, Lucille Z. Dowell, Earlene Z. Spears, Ruby Z. Spivey and Kate Z. Funk.
She is survived by: her sons, Anthony E. Collins Sr. (Nicolynn) of Washington, WV and Walter A. Collins III (Jeanne) of Greensboro; her grandchildren, Anthony E. Collins Jr. (Dina) of Lexington, Jon L. Collins (Kim) of Durham, Walter Carl Collins of Greensboro, Jennifer C. Maton (Ben) of Charlottesville, VA and James C. Collins (Stacie) of Stoughton, WI.; her great grandchildren, Meghan C. Shelton (Preston), Caroline C. Clark (Zachary), Faith C. Lambert (Adam), Elyssa Collins, Joshua Collins (Brianna), Stella Maton, Ruby Maton and Phoenix Maton; her great great grandchildren, Adilana Lambert, Oren Shelton and Rhynnly Lambert; and her sister Violet Z. Everhart.
Because of the COVID-19 virus, there will be no services at this time; she will be cremated and a graveside service will be held at a future date.
