He was predeceased by: his spouse Shelby Farrington Kiger; his parents, Ernest McCoy Kiger and Mary Magdalene Carter Kiger; his great grandchild Allyssa Barley; and his siblings, Ralph Kiger, Sr. and Judy Eller.

He is survived by: his children, Beverly Hauser of Winston-Salem and Barry Kiger of Winston-Salem; his grandchildren, Charity Hauser of Thomasville, NC, Brandon and Dillon Kiger; his great grandchildren, Tanner, Haven, Hope, Haylie, Johnson, Ella, Braxton, Ava and Dax; and his sisters, Helen Roland of Shelby, NC, Jane George (Bobby) of Winston-Salem, NC. and Martha Motsinger (Butch) of Winston-Salem, NC..

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
