He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Joseph Fairchild Sr. and Mary Lucille Cooper Fairchild; his siblings, Bill Fairchild and Bonnie Cook; and his niece Renee Bailey.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Flynn Fairchild; his daughter Dena Barker (Don); his grandson Craig Barker (Alex); his sister Bobbie Jane Flynn; and his granddaughter Katie Leagans.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Silas Creek Chapel - Hayworth-Miller Funeral Homes & Crematory (3315 Silas Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27103). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 5676 Old Walkertown Rd, Walkertown, NC 27051.
