It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leona Frances Putnam of Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on September 13, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Burley Clay Whitaker and Sadie Slawter Whitaker; her husband William Arthur Putnam; and her siblings, Robert Landis, Rosa Potts and Bessie Ashburn.
She is survived by: her children, Billy Ray Putnam, Ricky Lee Putnam and Stephanie Putnam Adams; and her siblings, Harold Whitaker, Melvin Whitaker and Linda Atkins. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
