She is survived by: her sons, Thomas E. Benson, Jr. (Janice), Gregory T. Benson of Charlotte, NC, Christopher L. Benson and Chauncey Petree (Nicole); her grandchildren, Thomas A. Norwood, Thomas E. Benson, III, Nanda, Ronda and Desiree Cook; her sisters, Mae Frances McManus, Carolyn McKoy (Lee), Phyllis E. Petree, Thelma L. Petree and Patricia Ijames; her brothers-in-law, Wayne Berry and Milton Vaughn, Sr.; and her uncle Nelson Petree. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
