She was predeceased by: her parents, Alonzo Marion Cook and Susie Mae Short Cook; her husband Brooks Jackson Groves; her son Charles Michael Groves, Sr.; and her siblings, Joe, Ralph, Buell, Alonzo Marion, Jr., Mary Bell, Gay, Hettie and Bertha.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Christina Cain (Robert), Kevin Groves (Christie), Christa Hale (Cameron), Katie Beal, Cortni Groves, Chelsea Brown (Logan) and Charles Michael Groves Jr.; her great great grandchild Charles Forrest Massie; her sister Geraldean Adkins; and her niece Debbie Adkins Hawley. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
