He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Downing and Hessie Downing. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Martin Downing; his children, Nona Barton (Scott), Melissa Downing and Lacy Downing, Jr. (Tina); and his sisters, Linda Francis (Norman) and Myrtle Parker. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
