It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kent Shouse Shropshire (Winston Salem, North Carolina), who passed away on January 23, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lee and Bess Shouse Shropshire; his brothers, John Douglas of Mebane, NC and Donald Gray of Tuscon, AZ; and his sisters-in-law, Wanda (Doug) and Mary Ruth (Don).
He is survived by: his nephew Devin; his nieces, Melanie David (Gary), Rhonda Glascock (Eddy) and Darla Haizlip (Scott); and his wife Becky. He is also survived by cousins and many dear friends.
Shropshire will lie in state at Salem Funeral Home on Reynolda Road on Friday, January 29, from 9 a. m. to 5 p. m. with masks and social distancing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
