He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Best and Arow Best of Darlington County, SC.; his wife Patty Best (Edwards); and his half-sister Delores Best. He is survived by: his children, Richard Best (Laura), Sandra Best and Kathry Klein (Brock); his brother Richard Summerford (Linda); and his granddaughters, Emma, Autumn, Saige and Alma.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Silas Creek Chapel - Hayworth-Miller Funeral Homes & Crematory (3315 Silas Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27103). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Hayworth - Miller Silas Creek Chapel (3315 Silas Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27103).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ken's name to the Winston-Salem Rescue Mission where he often served.
