He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Parms, Sr. and Ella Louise Hope Parms. He is survived by: his wife Annie Ruth Parms; his children, Deacon William David Parms (Elder Angela Parms), Agnes Betts, Annette M. Parms, Patrica Skinner (Ronnie Skinner) of Colfax, NC, Sabre P. Caldwell (Anthony Caldwell) and Cynthia Gilchrist (Christopher Gilchrist); and his sisters, Elizabeth Goode, Mary Ann Thomas of High Point, NC and Chrissy Hamer of Cheraw, SC. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 2great-great grandchildren; and a host of cousins, brothers and sisters.
Viewing was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Russell Funeral Home (822 Carl Russell Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27101). Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church (3230 Heitman Dr, Winston-Salem, NC 27107). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
