He is survived by: his children, Virginia "Ginger" Adams Cooper (Paul) and Joe Vaughn Adams, Jr. (Helen); his grandchildren, Devin Slate, Gillian Cooper, Jessica Foote Adams and Elizabeth Adams Vargas (Ben); and his great grandchildren, Arson Barbour, Ethan Vargas and Cameron Vargas.
