She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Lee; her siblings, John Joyner, David Joyner, Minor Deloch, Daisy Marshall and Lucille Joyner; and her children, Robert Witherspoon, Jr., Alfreda Clawson, Lucretia McNeely (Charles), Melvin Witherspoon and Aquanita Witherspoon.
She is survived by: her children, James Witherspoon, Benita Witherspoon (Gregory Rush) and Beverly Witherspoon; her brother-in-law Terry Witherspoon; her grandchildren, Roderick Witherspoon, Alfonza Witherspoon (Deon), Melvin Witherspoon, Jewaun Witherspoon, Ahmad R. Witherspoon, Tajha Thompson (Steven) and Markeya Culbreth; and her niece Emma Everette. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
