He was predeceased by: his parent McDaniel "Mack" Renegar; and his brother Avery "Buddy" Renegar. He is survived by: his wife Julie Early Renegar; his daughter Jennifer Crook (Brian); his grandchildren, Kathleen of Chapel Hill and Thomas Crook of Chapel Hill; his sons, John A. Renegar (Robin) and Austin Renegar (Shelby) of Winston-Salem; and his siblings, Loretta Dowell (Landon), Steve Renegar (Kathy) and Joyce Roseberry (James).
