She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Singletary and Sue Gardner; her stepmother Lula Mae Singletary; her husband John Gethers; and her siblings, Roosevelt Singletary, Mary Hanna, Juanita Mcmillian, Julia Cameron, Gloria Singletary and Wilhameina Burgess.
She is survived by: her children, Jahureia Gethers (Mary) of Baltimore, MD, Jalaine Gethers, Johnetta Gethers of Winston Salem, NC and Jareena Bethea (Robert) of Rural Hall, NC; her grandchildren, Morris Lucas (Trina), Javon Gethers (Precious), Shakira Bethea, Jaylin Bingham, Brittany Bethea and Tyler Gethers; her great grandchildren, Mya Lucas, Zariah, Jasaun Chatman, Genesis Bingham, Skylar Clarkson, Jayce, Jaxson Gethers and Legend Gethers; her sisters-in-law, Beverly Linville, Mary Katherine Parker and Claudette Gethers Boyd; her godchildren, Oscar Vaughn, Walter Lee Penn, Stephanie Bishop Moody and Barbara Howard; and her nieces and nephews, Edwards and Smith.
