He is survived by: his daughter Bartlett Spencer Bassett; his son-in-law Wyatt Patrick Exum Bassett; his grandchildren, Elliott Lewallen Brewer (Meredith), Spencer Jackson Brewer (Jenny), Huntley Oliver Brewer, Ann Yancey Bassett and McKinley Exum Bassett; his great grandchild Poppy Elliott Brewer; his grandchildren, Betsy Neill Blue (Bill) and Thomas David Neill (Scottie); his great grandchildren, Will Blue (Alison), Nancy Weadon (Ben), Kacie Baker (Reid), Mary Scott Rawlins (Campbell), Betsy Cohen (Dylan), Lydie Neill, Rob Neill, Liam, Connor, Bailey, Claire, Holt, Johnny and Ford; and also, Shippey King McDowell, Ann King Windham, Cornelius Vanstory King, Dale McLean King (Charlotte) and Nancy King Tanner (Pell).
