James Wilkes Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 24, 2024, at the age of 84, James Wilkes of Winston Salem, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Odell Wilkes and Robina Wooten Wilkes; and his siblings, Melba Osborn, Milton Wilkes and Bob Wilkes.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Doss Wilkes; his children, Kelly Brinkley (Kevin) of Clemmons and Thad Wilkes (Gabriel) of New York; his grandsons, Quintin Brinkley and Zach Brinkley; and his sisters, Norma Shultz of Lexington and Ramona Branscomb of Winston-Salem. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Mountain Valley Hospice 3069 Trenwest Drive Winston-Salem, NC 27103, or to the Western Carolina Football Program.
