With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Michael Mecum Sr. (Winston Salem, North Carolina), who passed away on May 3, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edith Shook Mecum and John B. Mecum, Sr.; his wife Linda Holyfield Mecum; his brothers, Jerry Mecum and John B. Mecum; his children, Wendy (Bob), Michael Mecum, Susan Draughn Eads and Kenneth Edward Draughn; and his grandchildren, Austin Hicks, Lexie Hicks and Madison Draughn.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fraternity Church of the Brethren or Trellis Supportive Care.
