It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Dunovant Jr. (Winston Salem, North Carolina), who passed away on September 16, 2024, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father James Michael Dunovant, Sr.; his grandparents, Essie W. Williams, George W. "Jelly" Williams Jr., Marion Dunovant and Gwendolyn H. Dunovant; his uncles, Harvey Williams (Rosetta), Jimmel Williams (Lorraine), Conrad Williams and Tonny Williams (Janet); and his aunt Irma Dean Wood (Alton).
He is survived by: his mother Judy Williams Dunovant; his daughter Azsa Dunovant Alvarado (Luis) of Charlotte, NC; his siblings, Shawn L. Dunovant Sr. (Talayia) and April N. Dunovant of Greensboro, NC; his uncles, Paul D. Williams (Marilynn), Terry L. Williams (Alesia) of Clinton, Vincent G. Dunovant (Stephanie) and Walter Dunovant (Juanita) of Columbus, Georgia; his niece Autumn N. Dunovant; and his nephew Shawn L. Dunovant, Jr.. He is also survived by cousins, other relatives, and friends.
