He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Charles Ward and Noma Bell Ward; his son Nicholas Brandon Ward; and his brother Gary Ward. He is survived by: his wife Darlene "Dee" Fornell Ward (Voiers); his stepchildren, Michelle Voiers Thompson (Alex), Lisa Voiers Elmer (Ken) and Tony Voiers (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Andrew McDowell (Ashley), Michael Thompson (Tristian), Ashley McDowell, Callie Voiers (Cameron Movassaghi) and Leah Voiers; his great grandchildren, Riley McDowell, Sean O'Shields and Georgia O'Shields; his niece Kristie Ward Hilton (Justin); his siblings-in-law, Judy Ward and Jim Fornell (Paula); and his pet Buddy. He is also survived by his grandchildren as "Papa".
