He was predeceased by: his father Grady Nicholson; his grandparents, Theodore Settle and Lurenda Settle; and his sister Tina Nicholson Neely. He is survived by: his mother Shirley Spease; and his siblings, Beverly Settle of Winston-Salem, Dionne Settle of Winston-Salem, Jawanna Spease of Winston-Salem, Julia Johnson of Winston-Salem, Carrie Nicholson of Winston-Salem, Debra Jones (Clyde) of Brooklyn, NY, Ed Nicholson of Winston-Salem and Grady Nicholson Jr. of Winston-Salem. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
