It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ivadess Kimsey Dixon of Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on April 20, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Von Roscoe and Vera Smith Kimsey; her husband David Wilson Dixon, Sr.; her sister Jean Kimsey Carroll; and her stepsons, David Wilson Dixon, Jr. and Michael Wayne Dixon.
She is survived by: her sister Manetta Beeson; her sister-in-law Jan Kimsey; her daughters, Leigh Dixon Blount (Douglas), Vera Denise Dixon and Candance Anne Dixon; and her grandchildren, Christopher Dixon (Tara), Heather Gentle (Jason), Hannah Bray (Jay), Justin Wall (Ashley), Samuel Dixon, Sarah Blount and Sydney Blount. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
