He is survived by: his wife Lucy O'Berry Carter; his daughter Cathy Carter of Greensboro, NC; his brother Jacob Carter of Barnwell, SC; his sister-in-law Retha Hazel (Gonza) of Sacramento, CA; and his granddaughters, Melissa Caudle High Point (David) and Olivia Tucker of Cullohwee, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
