With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Huey McKinney (Winston Salem, North Carolina), born in Smithville, Arkansas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Huey left this world on October 4, 2024 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Wildrick and Mary Wildrick; her husband E. K. "Buddy" McKinney; her daughters, Mary and Sherry; and her grandson Jimmy Lindquist.
She is survived by: her daughters, Clelia Parnell, Alice Geyer, Linda Barnes, Daisy Wyco, Henrietta McKinney Blackmon and Jeannie Lindquist; her sons-in-law, Steve Blackmon and Michael Wyco; her sister Abuna Moore; and her niece Charlotte Weller. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Her express wish was for no flowers. Instead, please make a donation in her honor to the youth group at Open Door Baptist Church.
