With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Harry Smith (Winston Salem, North Carolina), who passed away on February 16, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Smith and Fannie Wade Smith; and his wife Elois Watts Smith. He is survived by: his children, Regina Turner (James), Reginald Smith (Vanessa) and Janice Ragins (Ronald); his grandchildren, Katrena Hayes, Jr. (Bill), Kevin Turner, Courtney Johnson, Jr. (Robert), Rahni and Jarrett Ragins; his great grandchildren, Khaliq, Kamaria Hayes, Kameron, Kai, Breylan, Rylan Turner, Robert, III, Cooper and Jaiden Johnson; his sister Fannie Mae Williams; and his nephew Norvell Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Russell Funeral Home (822 Carl Russell Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27101). Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Macedonia Holiness Church of God (4111 Whitfield Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27105). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Piedmont Memorial Gardens (3663 Piedmont Memorial Dr, Winston-Salem, NC 27107).
