He was predeceased by: his son-in-law Brian Thurlow. He is survived by: his wife Gretchen Pfitzner (Goss); his siblings, Margaret Heussner (Erving), Kurt and Norbert Pfitzner (Petra); his daughters, Krista Thurlow and Katrina Pfitzner (Matthew Blalock); and his grandchildren, Bradley Thurlow (Jordan), Summer Thurlow, Linden and Shelby Blalock.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Lutheran Church (5220 Silas Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27106).
