With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gloria Poindexter Barber (Winston Salem, North Carolina), who passed away on April 7, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jenell Branham Poindexter and William Butner Poindexter; her husband Gerald Edwin Barber; her daughter Kelly Dyan Barber; and her brother William Poindexter, Jr. (Bill).
She is survived by: her daughters, Anita Barber, Meredith Barber (Mike Sanders) and Karen Barber; her grandson Dylan Barber; her great grandchild Jaxon Barber; and her sister Shelby Bryant.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103, in gratitude for their compassionate care and ministry.
