With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George Newton Williard (Winston Salem, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 2, 2024 at the age of 61. Though George Newton may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David E. Williard, Sr. and Betty Mae Lancaster Williard. He is survived by: his siblings, David E. Williard, Jr. (Martha) of Gastonia and Melinda "Mindy" W. Creech (Carl) of Durham; his nieces, Traci Harbin (Scott) of Gastonia, Lindsay May (A. J.) of Hillsborough and Carlin Smith (Brad) of Raleigh; and his pet Angel. He is also survived by five great nieces and nephews, numerous cousins.
