He was predeceased by: his sister Martha; and his grandson Errol Milner Clifford. He is survived by: his wife Dean; his children, Hope San Filippo (Anthony) of Lone Tree, Colorado, Roy Clifford (Rebeca) of Jarabocoa, Jay Clifford (Stacey Bradley) of Charleston, SC and Cary Clifford (Jonathan Milner) of Winston-Salem; his siblings, Dick Clifford (Ginger) of Chapel Hill, NC and Phyllis Martin of South Hill, Virginia.; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kylen and Elijah.
In lieu of flowers, any memorial gifts should be given to the Celebration Fund at Knollwood Baptist Church to support missional and justice work or to the Winston-Salem Foundation to support programs for children and families.
