He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Eugene Nifong and Addie Lenora Everhart Nifong; his wife Betty Ball Nifong; and his siblings, Albert Pickney Nifong, William Taft Nifong, Edna Mae Head, Pauline Head, Margaret Lanier, Wilma Cockman and Martha Perryman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
