He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis D. Pepper Sr. and Fannie Byrd Smith Pepper; and his former wife Phyllis. He is survived by: his wife Abbie; and his sister Audrey P. Oliver. He is also survived by niece, nephews, and several cousins.
