He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Shields, Sr. (Luberta) of Laurinburg, NC and Shirley Mae Hunt Shields; his grandparents, Capers, Willie Jane Hunt, Bishop Wallace and Lucille Shields; and his brother Keith W. Shields.
He is survived by: his children, Eugene Shields, III, Christian Elijah Shields of McLeansville, NC, Kyerra Ashlee Shields of McLeansville, NC and Marquis Lydell McMahan, Jr. of Hyattsville, MD; his sister Amanda Jane Shields of High Point, NC; and his nephew Brandon Shields. He is also survived by loving aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
