He is survived by: his wife Patricia George Gary; his children, Latonya Brown-Dobson, Anita George and Ernest Gary, Jr. (Elisa Chinn-Gary) of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren, Brittany Dobson, Justin Grier, Jaeshaun Grier, Jasmine Carpenter, Jade Carpenter, Shaelyn Little, Jaylen Little, Janae Little, Chandler Little, Ernest Gary III, Elijah Gary, John Reid, Sean Holmes, Jamisha Holmes, Roy Johnson and Erik Johnson; his great grandchildren, Jurney Carpenter and Khalla Caesar; his sister Martha Jean Brimage; his friend Charles Butler; and his goddaughters, Charlette Butler-Strickland and Kimberly Brim. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, and friends.
