With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Emma Coltrane Philpott (Winston Salem, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 17, 2024 at the age of 98. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jeffrey Smith Coltrane and Sarah Hendricks Coltrane; her husband Harry Woodrow Philpott; her daughter Elizabeth Anne Philpott; and her siblings, Virginia Mock, Helen Coltrane, Sarah Coltrane, Jeffrey Coltrane, William Coltrane and Robert Coltrane.
She is survived by: her children, Stephen Robert Philpott (Susan) of Duluth, GA, Caroline Coltrane Philpott (Kevin Dwyer) of Bethesda, MD and Sarah Catherine Bossong (Brooks) of Winston-Salem; her grandchildren, Caitlin Dwyer, Megan Dwyer Agar (Daniel), Sarah, Claire Philpott, Avery, Mallory and Brooks Bossong; and her great grandchild Frances Thea Agar.
