He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Carpenter and Pearl Carpenter; and his brother Wayne Carpenter. He is survived by: his wife Shelby Jean Carpenter; his son Jeff Carpenter (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Josiah Lee, Justice Lee, Charity Truth, Jeremiah Lee, Joshua Lee, Jacob Lee and Eternity Hope; and his brothers, Ralph Carpenter (Janet) and Emerson Carpenter (Debbie).
