She was predeceased by: her father Egypt; and her brother Moe Gendy (Sue Gendy). She is survived by: her children, Sameh Mankaryos (Lisa) of Cornelius, NC and Nora Thomas of Charlotte, NC.; her grandsons, Logan Mankaryos and Christopher Thomas; and her siblings, Mark (Mona Gendy), Michael (Marie Gendy), Maher (Pam Gendy) and Ebtesam (Atef Takla). She is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews.
