It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edwin Garnell Belo of Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on April 8, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Edward Belo and Viola Green Belo; and his siblings, Lois B. Nicholson, Coyt L. Belo, Clifford Belo and Larry R. Belo.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryle Belo; his children, Jason Belo and Amanda Belo (Andrew Johnson); his brother Thomas W. Belo; his sisters-in-law, Bertha Belo, Joyce Belo and Sarah Belo; his aunts, Gladys Laughlin and Hilda Rector; and his uncle Winfred Belo. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, National Kidney Foundation, or American Diabetes Association.
