He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Thompson and Adele Thompson; his wife Pamela Thompson; and his siblings, Andrew, Jr., Frederick, Edith, Margret, Mary Louise and Melvina.
He is survived by: his children, Beverly Murrell (Timothy), Vernetta Thompson and Mia Smith (Aaron); his grandchildren, Ricky, April, Michael Simington, Donovan, Kevin and Brian Brewington; and his brother Eliott Thompson. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Russell Funeral Home (822 Carl Russell Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27101). Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Eastside Church of Christ (536 Barbara Jane Ave NE, Winston-Salem, NC 27101). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
