He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Hill Shugart and Edward Raeburn Shugart, Jr.; and his stepfather Hank Bydalek. He is survived by: his wife Katie; his children, Jenny Shugart, Peggy Dickey, Hank Shugart (Brooke) and Bill Shugart (Candace); and his grandchildren, Ryan, Mason, Emily, Connor, Aiden and Reese.
