She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Monroe Mitchell; and her children, Karen Woodford (Jerome), Norma Gay (Errol), Reginald Mitchell (Trellis), Ronald Mitchell, Monroe T. Mitchell and Rayvon Mitchell (Pamela). She was also cherished by several Godchildren, twenty grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives, church family, and many friends.
