He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Shockley and Minnie Vaughn Shockley; his wife Trula Hale Shockley; and his sister Elva Erleen Heath. He is survived by: his sons, Michael and Timothy; his granddaughter Jennifer Bliss; his great grandchild Rachel Bliss; his friends, Ronnie Jones and Eric Rogers; his siblings, Juanita Gillespie and Homer Shockley (Katie); and his close friends, Nellie Broyhill and Hazel Hahn. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Forbush Baptist Church (3917 Old US 421 Hwy E, Yadkinville, NC 27055).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Forbush Baptist Church.
