He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Edward and Annie Phillips Higgins. He is survived by: his wife Lucy Hege Higgins; his children, Sandra Miller (Jack) of Carolina Shores, Edward Higgins of Winston-Salem and Angie Higgins of Rural Hall; his grandchildren, Crystal Miller (Walter), Tim Miller, Stephen Higgins, Seth Higgins, Samuel Higgins (Sydney) and Dylan Higgins; and his great grandchild Maizie Belle.
