With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Ray Hackett (Winston Salem, North Carolina), born in Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away on May 30, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Hackett and Lillian Staton Hackett; his wife Nancy Lee Hackett; his son Johnny Hackett; and his siblings, Perry Hackett, Jr., Betty Carter, Wayne Hackett and Gerald Hackett.
He is survived by: his daughter Tammy Everhart (Wayne); his grandchildren, Robbie Mabe (Jessica), Candace Mabe, Shawn Hackett (Katie) and Ryan Hackett; his great grandchildren, Brenna, Camden, Haley, Maverick, Kassidy, Karrigan and Leighton; his brother Red Hackett; his sister-in-law Brenda Hackett; and his caregivers, Melissa, Emma and Cassie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
