He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Byerly and Melva Cecil Byerly. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Maxey Byerly; his children, Dolan Keith Byerly (Melissa) of Thomasville, Mark Douglas Byerly (Libby) of Randolph County and Melissa Annette Byerly of Thomasville; and his stepchildren, Michael Shell (Kristy) of Winston-Salem and Tammy Thomas (Scott) of Kernersville. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
