It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cheryl Watson (Winston Salem, North Carolina), born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on January 30, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Hines and Lois Hines; and her sister Sonja La Shore. She is survived by: her husband Charles; her daughter Kawaska Hines; her grandchildren, Kylie, Khloe and King; her sisters, Valerie Carson of Birmingham, AL, Stephanie Jackson of Birmingham, AL and Carolita Hines of Birmingham, AL; her aunts and uncles, Ernest Carson of Myrtle Beach, SC, Jonnie Parker of Birmingham, AL, Olivia Burnett and Gloria Parker of Birmingham, AL; and her close friends, Darnella Cook and Telfer Penn Smith. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
