It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Bealer Pate (Winston Salem, North Carolina), born in Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on July 18, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thaddeus Charles (TC) and Esther Watford Pate. He is survived by: his wife Leigh Wood; his daughters, Scottie Pate, Elizabeth Foley and Virginia Pate (Allison Deal); his grandchildren, Grace, Clare, Mary, Zi'marie and Miracle; and his sister Jane Jones. He is also survived by three daughters, and five grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem College Chemistry Department or to St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
