He was predeceased by: his parents, Reese Sullivan and Della Young Holland; his siblings, Bonnie Holland Bradley, Bobbie Holland Smith and Thomas Rawley Holland; his sons, Carl Alreno and Cletis Alvon Holland; and his daughter-in-law Bernadine Shaw Holland.
He is survived by: his wife Rosa Mae Richardson Holland; his children, Dr. Cecil Alwood Holland, Jr., Cedric Alcardo Holland and Rev. Rhonda Holland Dixon (Nathaniel); his niece Carolyn Diana Gilliam; his great-niece Barbara Meadows Johnson; his son Jerome Griffin (Tyrone); his daughter-in-law Carolyn Williams Holland; and his siblings-in-law, Madeline Richardson and Rufus Smith Sr. of Winston-Salem. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Viewing was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Russell Funeral Home (822 Carl Russell Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27101). Visitation will be held on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church (5000 Noble St, Winston-Salem, NC 27105). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
