Though Burton Thomas may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his mother Blanche Mullican Boner; his wife Jeanette Hair Boner; and his sister Nancy Boner Parnell. He is survived by: his father Burton Thomas Boner, Sr.; his children, Jennifer Shelton (Steve) and Brent T. Boner; and his grandchildren, Owen and Ava Shelton.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Silas Creek Chapel - Hayworth-Miller Funeral Homes & Crematory (3315 Silas Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27103). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Union Ridge United Methodist Church (3620 Old Lexington Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27107).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
