He was predeceased by: his parents, Merrill Alexander and Lucy Pierce Meyer; his daughter Ann Marie Meyer; his grandson Landon Egebrecht; and his brother Richard Meyer.

He is survived by: his wife Penny Meyer; his daughters, Jessica Egebrecht, Amanda Hutchens and Christina Meyer; and his siblings, Merrill Meyer, Don Meyer, Carol Webb, Linda Meyer and Debbie Storrs. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
